OOC Info:

Heya! This is the player speaking, you can call me Felix!
Here's just a few things for ya, just in case you were interested in roleplaying with my little bun Fynir.
I've been roleplaying for five years, on Discord and Forums, but I've only recently started roleplaying on this game aswell. Expect some slower replies compared to average, as I tend to think a lot of how to deliever both actions and lines of dialogue.I'm not an English native speaker, expect typos and minor errors!
Even if I play on Mateus, I'm actually from Europe, so expect me being online at very weird times.
(sorry 'bout that!)
For the roleplaying itself, I'm open to almost anything really. I'm not particularly fond of battles, I actually prefer Slice of Life scenes, though feel free to tell me your ideas, I'll surely consider them!

Background!

Fynir's troubled story begins very early in his life. A few years after he had been born, the remote forest where he lived had been attacked and destroyed by the Garleans. Savages as they were, upon claiming victory, the soldiers of the Empire took all the children with them, a key strategy for Garlemald's everlasting conquering plan. Fynir was among those children, sent on their way to the capital where they would've been raised to become loyal soldiers of the empire. These Vieras were all so little that they didn't even have names, it would've been easy to manipulate them. Alas, destiny defied the Garleans plans. The children were to be transported to the capital by ship along with many other resources, a long yet needed trip. And as they were traveling through the sea, the soldiers were attacked by pirates. Lominsan pirates to be precise, a small yet skilled band, strong enough to overcome and claim the ship for themselves. Needless to say that they were utterly surprised as they saw that their desired treasure hid children aswell. It was a problem for pirates though. Such attack, however fruitful for the Lominsan flag, was unauthorized and while gils and resources could be discretely organized and hid, the same couldn't be said about these children. It would've been easy to just throw them in the open seas but their morality wouldn't let them take such a cruel choise. The leader of the band then, a Seeker of the Sun Mi'qote named C'inwa Tia divided the band in groups and each of the groups should've decided how to take care of the assigned children. To be of example to his band, he proclaimed in front of all of them that he would've adopted the child assigned to him, who happened to be Fynir. They returned to the main land, in Limsa Lominsa without any problems and managed to organize all the treasure, making sure the Maelstrom wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary.C'inwa Tia brought the child to his house, where he would've raised him for the years to come with the help of his wife, C'amneko Rhiki, who was also part of his band.Raising a child was an hard feat for a couple of free-spirited Mi'qotes, yet they both put a lot of effort to make sure to raise a strong and intelligent person. Despite being from a different race, they raised him as they were raised, hoping that dedication and love would be enough to overcome any sort of problem. Though there was one particular problem they didn't know how to fix. Vieras become male or females not on birth, but later on in their life. For this, they didn't name him until he was old enough and they were overjoyed to see that he was a male, for they hoped he would take charge of the band when C'inwa would retire. They then named him C'ynir and begun to raise him for the job aswell. For his nameday, he would be gifted a small, wooden axe, the same kind of weapon his adopted father wields.C'inwa trained him personally, day after day, and the couple would also bring him along for low-risks job to get him used to sailing. In these occasion, C'ynir managed to learn a lot and to befriend all of the crew, aswell as getting to know many different people from Limsa's port. To them, he would introduce himself as Fynir Altava, an idea of his adopted father to make sure none would think them as relatives, except for a few trusted ones.It was just a safe precaution conceived by his father. Being leader of a pirate crew was enough to put him on a dangerous spot and he already had some sworn enemies and rivals.Fynir's training as a pirate was working great, phisically at least. His skill with the axe was costantly growing, he was learning everything one should know before sailing in the open sea and hard work was never too tiring. The only problem was his attitude. The Viera was a kind and gentle soul, an attitude perfect for a guard rather than a pirate. His parents tried to make him learn how to behave like a pirate and for some parts, it worked. He would gradually understand what it meant to be a pirate and how to act as one, yet, it would be just an act. Everyone he interacted with soon understood he was not really cut for the pirate life, yet Fynir would always try his best to keep walking that path, trying to make his father proud. Some would even try to take advantage of his natural kindness, yet those who tried to often met unfortunate fates, though never meeting death, as his was kindness and not naiveness. As he got older, he took more and more jobs even by himself, as a mercenary. Someone started to jokingly call him as "the Cutting Shield of the Sea", giving the irony of such a nice-mannered person who expertly weilded a weapon known to be used by bloodthirsty beasts.Sometimes taking jobs on his own and sometimes working along his parents and their crew in the sea. This was his daily routine, until something unfortunate happened. While he was out for a job as a mercenary, a bloody battle happened between his parent's crew and a rival pirate crew, within the Limsan territory. Both C'inwa and C'amneko managed to survive the fight, though they were brought to prison, condamned for breaking the Lominsan code even though they acted in self-defense. Their case had to serve as an example, and so their punishment had to be unforgiving. They were condamned to many years in prison, a period so long that they maybe wouldn't have survived enough to see the end of it.And thus did Fynir's lone journey start. His objective, filled with a childish hope as it could've been, was to work so much that he'd become rich enough to pay the Admiral's coffins in exchange for all the years his parents had to suffer in prison. And that's how he ended up in a crew that was starting to make a name for themselves, where he could both work as the pirate he'd sworn to become and make up enough gil to make his dream come true.
